Background

A startup that developed facial recognition technology with the ability to detect specific persons within a crowd.

Challenge

Discover the ideal go-to-market application, find a strategic partner + obtain funding.

Process

We introduced the startup to a large US-based provider of a mission-critical system for law enforcement agencies (LEA). We developed a concept in which the facial recognition technology will be implemented within body-worn cameras supplied to LEA by the large US provider. Two types of operational scenarios were conceived: (1) routine patrol in which the system will increase the likelihood of detecting POI in the crowd, and (2) searching for a specific POI (missing persons, suspicious persons, etc.) in which the system will increase the detection rate.

Outcome

A joint R&D project was conceived and submitted to the Israel-U.S. Binational Industrial Research and Development. $1M in funding obtained. A new growth engine for both companies is on its way.
